TAThe Apothecary Diaries Season 3TV · 2026Maomao is a clever young apothecary who solves medical mysteries inside the imperial palace. In Season 3, which premiered on Friday 2 October 2026, the story grows beyond the palace walls: after the Shi clan's rebellion shook the court, Maomao returns to her old life as a pharmacist in the pleasure district, but the court's secrets will not leave her alone, and Jinshi, now openly carrying the heavy duties of the emperor's brother, still needs her mind. FBFrieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2TV · 2026Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2 continues elf mage Frieren's slow journey north with her apprentice Fern and the young warrior Stark. Its 10 episodes aired from January to March 2026, bringing the anime to 38 episodes in total. The party is travelling toward Aureole, the land where souls rest, so that Frieren can speak once more with Himmel, the hero she never understood in time. Demons still haunt the roads, and this season brings the party face to face with the divine warrior Revolte, and with two very different first-class mages, Methode and Genau. Made by Madhouse with Evan Call's score and a new director, Tomoya Kitagawa, Season 2 is a shorter, calmer cour than the first, ten episodes that trust silence, scenery and small kindnesses to do the heavy lifting, and land all the harder for it.

JKJujutsu KaisenTV · 2020High school student Yuji Itadori swallows a cursed finger and becomes the host of the powerful curse Ryomen Sukuna. He joins Tokyo Jujutsu High, where sorcerers train to fight the curses that threaten people every day. The series mixes dark horror, humour and some of the best fight scenes in modern anime. The Jujutsu Kaisen anime is produced by MAPPA and adapted from Gege Akutami's manga. A prequel movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, tells the story of Yuta Okkotsu, and the later seasons raise the stakes into the devastating Shibuya Incident and beyond. What sets the series apart is its balance: brutal, beautifully animated fights on one side, and quiet questions about what a proper death really means on the other. Few modern anime have matched its mix of style, dread and heart.

R1Ranma 1/2 Season 3TV · 2026Ranma Saotome turns into a girl when splashed with cold water and back into a boy with hot water, thanks to a training accident at the cursed springs of Jusenkyo in China. Season 3 of MAPPA's remake premiered on 3 October 2026 on Nippon TV, with Netflix streaming each episode worldwide right after the Japanese broadcast. The remake keeps the formula that made Rumiko Takahashi's manga a classic: Ranma's engagement to the temperamental Akane Tendo, a growing crowd of rivals and fiancées, and martial arts applied to absolutely everything, cooking, gymnastics, tea ceremony, you name it. Season 3 opens with Ranma and Ryoga's rivalry front and centre, brings Happosai and Cologne's schemes back into play, and adds new faces, including Sentaro Daimonji of the martial-arts tea ceremony school. Most of the original 1989 voice cast is back in the same roles more than three decades later, which gives the remake a warmth no reboot could fake. If you like your comedy fast, physical and hopelessly romantic, this is the season to jump in, though the first two seasons are only 12 episodes each.

Season 2, which premiered on 4 October 2026 on NHK Educational TV with streaming on Crunchyroll, promotes him to Esperion's A team. The season runs 24 episodes across two cours, with the first cour covering his brutal education at the higher level. Production has changed hands: TMS Entertainment replaces Production I.G, and Kazuki Yokoyama directs, while series composer Masahiro Yokotani and composer Masaru Yokoyama return. The thinking football that made Season 1 a cult favourite among real football fans is very much intact.
