Panda is a second-year at Tokyo Jujutsu High who is exactly what he looks like: a large, talking panda. He is actually a cursed corpse created by Principal Yaga, with a warm heart and surprising fighting skill, able to shift his core for different forms. Gentle and funny, he treats his classmates like family and fights fiercely to protect them.

Appearance

Panda looks exactly like his name: a very large, round panda with white-and-black fur, small dark eyes and a gentle, slightly sleepy expression. He wears the Tokyo Jujutsu High uniform stretched over his big frame, sometimes with armbands marked with cute patches, and he moves with surprising lightness for his size. In battle his body changes with his cores, slimmer and fiercer in Gorilla Mode, with longer arms and a harder, angrier face. The joke of his design is that nobody in his world finds him strange for long; he is simply Panda, classmate and friend, who happens to be a panda.

Personality

Panda is warm, funny and emotionally sharp, often the most socially intelligent person in the room. He teases his classmates, ships their romances, and defuses tension with a joke, but he thinks seriously about what he is: a cursed corpse with a heart, neither human nor curse, trying to understand both. He is deeply loyal to the second-years and to Principal Yaga, his creator and father figure. Panda's kindness has a backbone, insult his friends or treat him as a mere object and the gentle panda disappears, replaced by a fighter who hits very, very hard.

Background & Story

Panda was created by Masamichi Yaga, the principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High and the world's foremost maker of cursed corpses, dolls given life and emotion by cursed energy. Panda is Yaga's masterpiece: an 'abrupt mutating' cursed corpse with not one core but three, each holding a different personality, including his older brother and sister cores. Raised by Yaga and enrolled at Jujutsu High, Panda grew up treated as a student rather than a tool, which is rarer in his world than it should be. He knows the jujutsu leadership fears what Yaga made, a self-sustaining cursed corpse with feelings, and he carries that knowledge quietly, determined to live as himself beside the friends who never questioned that he is a person.

• Three cores: Panda's body holds three cores, Panda, Gorilla and Triceratops, and switching his active core changes his form, power and fighting style.
• Gorilla Mode: His brother's core gives Panda a leaner, stronger body built for brutal close combat and overwhelming punches.
• Unblockable Drumming Beat: In Gorilla Mode, Panda's strikes send a shockwave through the target that cannot be guarded against, damaging them from inside.
• Cursed corpse body: As a cursed corpse, Panda does not tire or feel pain like a human and can keep fighting through damage that would stop a person, as long as his cores survive.

• Maki Zenin: His classmate and the second-years' driving force; Panda teases her mercilessly and backs her completely.
• Toge Inumaki: His classmate and close friend, Panda often translates Toge's rice-ball speech for others.
