Narberal Gamma
From Overlord
Narberal Gamma is a supporting character in Overlord, a doppelganger battle maid of the Pleiades who poses as Nabe, the beautiful adventurer partner of the 'hero' Momon. She is voiced by Manami Numakura in Japanese and Anastasia Munoz in English.
About Narberal Gamma
Narberal Gamma is a doppelganger battle maid of the Pleiades who poses as Nabe, the beautiful adventurer partner of the 'hero' Momon. She despises humans as insects and barely hides it, which Ainz constantly has to cover for. Deadpan, proud and powerful, she provides some of Overlord's driest comedy alongside its darkest threats.
Appearance
Narberal appears as a strikingly beautiful young woman with long black hair in a ponytail and cold, disdainful eyes, wearing the white and black battle-maid outfit of the Pleiades under adventuring gear when she poses as Nabe. Her beauty is famous in the capital, and completely wasted on her, since she regards the humans admiring her as insects who happen to talk. Her true doppelganger form is never shown to the public she despises.
Personality
Narberal is proud, deadpan and openly contemptuous of humanity, she calls humans insects, worms and lower life forms with the flat regularity of weather reports. Serving beside Ainz as Nabe requires her to play a hero's partner, which she does flawlessly in public and complains about in private, forcing Ainz into constant quiet damage control. Her comedy is dry as dust, and her loyalty, like all the Pleiades', is absolute: the insects are beneath her, but her master's orders are law.
Background & Story
Narberal Gamma is one of the Pleiades Six Stars, Nazarick's battle maids, created as a doppelganger magic caster. In the New World Ainz selects her to accompany him in his cover identity as the adventurer Momon, where 'Nabe' becomes famous as the beautiful, icy partner of the Dark Hero. The pairing builds Nazarick a heroic legend in the Re-Estize Kingdom, and gives Narberal an unwanted education in how the insect world actually works, one she endures with magnificent disdain.
