Muichiro Tokito

About Muichiro Tokito

Muichiro is the Mist Hashira, the youngest Hashira in the Corps, who reached the rank only two months after first holding a sword. Quiet and dreamy, he often stares at clouds and forgets things, including parts of his own past. Beneath that haze is a prodigy of Mist Breathing whose speed and skill defend the Swordsmith Village against Upper Rank demons.

Appearance

Muichiro is a small, slight fourteen-year-old with very long black hair fading to teal at the ends, worn loose past his waist, and mint-green eyes that usually stare at nothing in particular. His Corps uniform is deliberately loose and wide-sleeved, hiding the lines of his body and his sword movements, a style choice that suits his Mist Breathing perfectly. He looks like a daydreaming child, which makes the moments when his gaze sharpens genuinely startling: the fog clears, and for an instant everyone can see exactly why this boy became a Hashira at an age when most slayers are still training.

Personality

Muichiro drifts. He forgets names, faces, conversations and whole events, watches clouds instead of people, and answers questions with a logic so stripped of feeling it can sound cruel, he will calmly calculate whose survival matters most and say it aloud. This is not his nature; it is what trauma built over his real self. Under the fog lives a boy who was kind, emotional and furious at demons, and pieces of him surface as the story goes on, in flashes of anger, protectiveness and memory. Muichiro's journey is not about becoming stronger. It is about remembering who he was before the world took his family and, nearly, himself.

Background & Story

Muichiro and his twin brother Yuichiro were the sons of a woodcutter, descended from swordsmen of the Sun Breathing line. Their parents died, and then Yuichiro died shielding Muichiro from a demon, after turning away the Corps recruiter who saw the twins' potential. Muichiro survived, was taken in by the Ubuyashiki family, and picked up a sword burning with a rage he later buried so deeply he forgot almost everything, even his brother's face. What he did not lose was talent: he became Mist Hashira two months after beginning training, the youngest Hashira in the Corps. At the Swordsmith Village, a small swordsmith's kindness begins to blow the fog away.

Powers & Abilities

• Mist Breathing: A style derived from Wind Breathing, built on obscuring movement, seven forms of drifting, deceptive swordplay that hides every line of attack.
• Seventh Form: Obscuring Clouds: Muichiro's own form: he vanishes into slow, fog-like movement that suddenly erupts into impossible speed, confusing and cutting enemies at once.
• Prodigy talent: Muichiro became a Hashira two months after first holding a sword, a rate of growth unmatched in the Corps.

Key Relationships

• Tanjiro Kamado: The slayer whose words and kindness at the Swordsmith Village stir Muichiro's buried memories and emotions.
• Gyomei Himejima: A fellow Hashira Muichiro respects; the senior slayers quietly look out for the youngest among them.
• Mitsuri Kanroji: His fellow Hashira defending the Swordsmith Village, whose warmth contrasts with his fog.
