Lucy Heartfilia
From Fairy Tail
Lucy Heartfilia is a main character of Fairy Tail, a Celestial Spirit wizard who summons spirits with golden Gate Keys, a runaway heiress who joined Fairy Tail to become a wizard and a writer. She is voiced by Aya Hirano in Japanese and Cherami Leigh in English.
About Lucy Heartfilia
A Celestial Wizard who ran away from her wealthy family's mansion to join Fairy Tail. Lucy summons spirits with golden Gate Keys she collects, fights with a whip when her magic runs low, and dreams of writing a novel about her adventures. She is the heart and the narrator of Team Natsu, often the sensible one, always the one who reminds her reckless friends what they are fighting for.
Appearance
Lucy is a young woman with blonde hair usually worn in a side ponytail or twin tails with ribbons, and warm brown eyes. Her outfits change constantly, she is the most fashion-conscious member of her team, but the constants are her belt of Celestial Gate Keys, her whip coiled at her hip, and the pink Fairy Tail mark on the back of her right hand. In battle her Star Dresses, outfits borrowed from her spirits' power, reshape her look from a maid's dress to a mermaid's form to a bull-horned warrior.
Personality
Somebody on Team Natsu has to be the adult, and Lucy drew the short straw. She's the one who reads the job posting properly, worries about the rent and points out that the building did not, in fact, need to explode. She's playful about her looks and deadly serious about her writing, and there's a novel manuscript at home that absolutely nobody is allowed to read. What makes her a great Celestial wizard isn't the keys. It's that she treats her spirits as people, with names and moods and lives of their own, and they answer that loyalty in kind. She scares easily. Five seconds, usually. Then somebody needs her and she's as stubborn as the rest of them.
Background & Story
Lucy was born to the Heartfilia family, one of Fiore's richest, and raised in a mansion where her busy father had no time for her after her mother Layla died. Layla had been a Celestial wizard, and Lucy inherited her keys and her dream. At seventeen she ran away from home to join Fairy Tail, the guild she idolised. A run-in with a fraud posing as a Fairy Tail wizard in Hargeon led her to Natsu and Happy, who brought her to the real guild hall, and into the strongest, most chaotic team in Magnolia. Her adventures since have made her both a veteran wizard and the chronicler of her guild's story.
