About Naito Mudano
Naito Mudano is the emotionless, roller-skate-wearing teacher in charge of Shiki's class at Rasetsu Academy. A high-ranking Oni Agency operative, he hides his face behind a mask and his feelings behind flat, cutting remarks, yet his lessons are designed to keep his students alive in the war against the Momotaro. Beneath the cold manner is a man who has buried too many students already, and refuses to bury any more.
Appearance
Mudano is a slim, composed man who hides the lower half of his face behind a black mask and moves everywhere on roller skates, gliding through the academy with eerie smoothness. His eyes are flat and unimpressed, his uniform immaculate, and his signature weapon is an umbrella, an affectation that stops looking funny the first time he uses it in a fight.
Personality
Mudano speaks the way he skates: level, fast and without wasted motion. He is cutting, unsentimental and apparently emotionless, praising nothing and softening nothing. It is an act of care, not coldness, Mudano has buried too many students, and his entire teaching method is built to make sure the current class survives what killed the others. His students dread his evaluations. They also trust his judgement completely.
Background & Story
Naito Mudano is a veteran operative of the Oni Agency, the organisation fighting the Momotaro Agency's centuries-long extermination of the Oni. Assigned as homeroom teacher to a first-year class at Rasetsu Academy, a class that happens to include a Child of Kishin, he trains them with brutal simulations and blunt assessments. His reputation inside the Agency is formidable, and the Momotaro know his name: the masked teacher is one of the Oni side's most dangerous soldiers, standing between his students and the war for as long as he can.
Powers & Abilities
- Blood Eclipse Release: Like other trained Oni, Mudano shapes his blood into weapons, wielding his blood-formed arms with a veteran's precision that far outclasses his students.
Key Relationships
- Shiki Ichinose: His most troublesome student, a Child of Kishin whose recklessness Mudano channels, bluntly, toward survival.
- Jin Kougasaki: One of his sharpest students, whose hatred of the Momotaro Mudano watches as both a weapon and a warning sign.
- Homare Byobugaura: His most anxious student. Mudano's training pushes Homare hardest precisely because her power needs control the most.
