About Hizumi Momotsugi
Hizumi Momotsugi is the 10th Unit Captain of the Momotaro Agency's Kegon Falls Branch Laboratory in Nikko, one of the officers Shiki and his classmates face in the new arc. As a captain of the Agency that has hunted Oni for generations, he treats the war as his duty and the laboratory's work as necessary. His clashes with the Rasetsu Academy students test how far that duty can stretch when the enemy is in front of him.
Appearance
Hizumi carries himself as a career officer of the Momotaro Agency: disciplined, composed and ready, in the Agency's uniform. Where the laboratory's chief is a man of protocols, Hizumi is its sword arm in Nikko, the captain the Rasetsu students must actually get past, with a professional's calm rather than a zealot's fire.
Personality
Hizumi treats the war against the Oni as duty, inherited, necessary and not to be questioned in the middle of carrying it out. That professionalism is his strength and his test: the Nikko arc puts him face to face with the laboratory's enemies as people, teenagers defending their own, and measures how far 'duty' can stretch when the enemy is standing in front of him with a name and a face.
Background & Story
Hizumi Momotsugi serves as the 10th Unit Captain at the Momotaro Agency's Kegon Falls Branch Laboratory in Nikko, under the laboratory's chief, Kusabi Momoura. The facility's work, research on captured Oni, is the Agency's generations-old campaign conducted by scientific means, and Hizumi is one of the officers charged with defending it. When the Oni arrive above Kegon Falls, his clashes with the Rasetsu Academy students become one of the arc's measures of the war: an officer doing his duty against students fighting for their people's survival.
