About Homare Byobugaura
Homare Byobugaura is Shiki's shy, anxious classmate at Rasetsu Academy, a small girl who apologises constantly and doubts she belongs in a war at all. When she panics, though, her Oni blood produces a giant of overwhelming strength, one of the most destructive powers in her class, and one she can barely control. Her journey is about learning that being frightened does not make her weak, and that her friends need the strength she fears.
Appearance
Homare is a small, slight girl with a timid posture, shoulders in, eyes down, hands clasped as if permanently mid-apology. Everything about her ordinary appearance says 'harmless', which makes the contrast absolute when her blood answers her panic: a towering giant of blood and muscle that ranks among the most destructive sights in her class.
Personality
Homare is gentle, terrified and convinced she does not belong in a war. She apologises for existing, doubts every order she is given, and panics under pressure, and panic is exactly what unleashes her power, which she fears most of all. Her story is about the slow, supported discovery that being frightened does not make her weak, and that her friends do not need her to be fearless, they need her, fear and all.
Background & Story
Homare enrols at Rasetsu Academy as one of Shiki's classmates, an Oni girl whose Blood Eclipse Release is bound to her emotions: when she panics, her blood forms a giant of overwhelming strength that she can barely control. In a class of fighters learning to aim their powers, Homare must learn the opposite skill, trust. Through the academy's battles she begins, step by shaking step, to stand with her friends instead of behind them, and to see the strength she fears as something her class is counting on.
