Kuina Sazanami

About Kuina Sazanami

Kuina Sazanami is a student in Shiki's class at Rasetsu Academy, a cheerful Oni girl whose blood power works through the puppets and dolls she fights beside. Bright and friendly where many of her classmates are grim, she helps hold the class together socially as well as in battle. Do not mistake the smile for softness, though: in the war against the Momotaro Agency, Kuina's playful fighting style has surprised enemies who underestimated her exactly once.

Appearance

Kuina is a bright, smiling girl with a playful style that stands out sharply among her grim classmates, and she is rarely seen without her dolls, the puppets her fighting style is built around. The effect is deliberately misleading: Kuina looks like she wandered out of a toy shop, right up until the puppets move.

Personality

Kuina is cheerful, friendly and socially fearless, one of the classmates who holds the class together as people, not only as a fighting unit. She teases, encourages and includes, doing the emotional work war tends to burn away. But the smile is not softness: Kuina is a trained Oni soldier, and enemies who underestimate her playful style tend to do so exactly once.
