About Juji Yusurube
Juji Yusurube is a student in Shiki's class at Rasetsu Academy, an Oni whose blood power lets him see and strike at an enemy's weaknesses with a sniper's patience. Easygoing and teasing on the surface, he is one of the classmates who helped turn a room of strangers into a real unit during the Kyoto and Nerima battles. In Nikko his marksmanship is tested by enemies who experiment on Oni for a living.
Appearance
Juji is a relaxed-looking teenager with an easy grin and the unhurried posture of a boy who prefers to fight from a long way away. In battle his whole manner changes: still, patient and focused, a marksman waiting for the one opening his ability shows him. Among his louder classmates he is the quiet one at the back, exactly where a sniper belongs.
Personality
Juji is easygoing, teasing and observant. He defuses tension with jokes and notices things, about enemies and about his friends, that louder people miss. In a class of strangers thrown together by war, Juji is one of the social glues: the classmate who helped turn them into a unit. His calm is a soldier's asset, the patience his sniping depends on.
Background & Story
Juji Yusurube enrols at Rasetsu Academy in Shiki's class, where his Blood Eclipse Release marks him out as the unit's eyes: his power lets him perceive an enemy's weak points and strike them with a sniper's precision. Through the Kyoto and Nerima battles he serves as the class's overwatch, and his marksmanship helps weld a room of strangers into a real fighting unit. In Nikko, that gift is tested by the Momotaro's laboratory officers, enemies who experiment on Oni for a living and guard their weaknesses well.
Powers & Abilities
- Blood Eclipse Release: Weakness Sight: Juji's blood power lets him perceive an enemy's weak points and strike them precisely from range, making him his class's sniper, though using it roots him in place while he reads the field.
Key Relationships
- Shiki Ichinose: His classmate and the class's loud spearhead, Juji covers Shiki's charges from range and teases him the rest of the time.
- Rokuro Kiriyama: A fellow classmate whose nerves Juji balances with his own calm; the two are part of the class's close-knit core.
- Kuina Sazanami: A classmate whose puppet fighting and cheer make her the social opposite of the quiet sniper, and part of the same close unit.
