Appearance

Madara is a tall, imposing man with a wild mane of long black hair falling over one eye, sharp features and the red eyes of the Sharingan, later the concentric rings of the Rinnegan. He wears the red plate armour of the Warring States era over dark clothing, and fights with a giant war fan and scythe joined by a chain. Even standing still, he carries himself like a man addressing an army he expects to win.

Personality

Madara is proud, theatrical and absolutely certain: a warlord-philosopher who looked at a world of endless child soldiers and concluded that peace required taking reality itself away from humanity. He loves battle genuinely. A worthy opponent is the only compliment he pays freely, and he respects exactly one man, Hashirama, his friend, rival and the only equal he ever had. Beneath the god-complex sits an older grief: Madara lost four brothers to the wars, and his dream, like Obito's, began as a refusal to lose anyone else.

Background & Story

Madara grew up in the Warring States period, when clans hired out child soldiers and Uchiha and Senju slaughtered each other by generation. On a riverbank he befriended a boy named Hashirama without either knowing the other's clan; their friendship survived the discovery, two clan wars and both becoming their clans' leaders, and produced the Hidden Leaf Village, the first of its kind. But the village chose Hashirama as Hokage, the Uchiha drifted from Madara, and reading an ancient stone tablet convinced him the world's peace was a lie. He left, returned with the Nine-Tails under his control, and died, officially, at the Valley of the End. In truth he survived, hid for decades, and set a plan in motion that would outlive him by a generation.
