Jin Enjoji
From Dandadan
Jin Enjoji, called Jiji, is a supporting character in Dandadan, Momo's childhood friend and first crush, a loud, athletic joker whose new house is haunted and who becomes the host of the Evil Eye. He is voiced by Kaito Ishikawa in Japanese and Aleks Le in English.
About Jin Enjoji
Jin Enjoji, called Jiji, is Momo's childhood friend and first crush, a loud, athletic joker who hides real pain behind clowning. His family's new house is haunted, and helping him pulls the group into the Cursed House case. When the spirit called Evil Eye possesses him, Jiji becomes both a beloved friend and one of the most dangerous people in Dandadan.
Appearance
Jiji is a tall, athletic teenager with messy dark hair, an open, goofy face and the build of a soccer player. He dresses loudly and moves louder, every entrance is a performance, every greeting involves posing. The contrast when the Evil Eye takes him is chilling: the same body turns pale-haired, sharp-patterned and feral, and the class clown's grin becomes a monster's. Friends learn to read Jiji's face the way sailors read weather.
Personality
Jiji is loud, athletic and relentlessly clownish, and the clowning is armour. His family's troubles and the haunting of their home frightened him badly, and he copes by being the funniest person in any room. He is also genuinely kind, which turns out to matter enormously: his compassion toward the spirit possessing him becomes the group's best hope of reaching the lonely child inside the Evil Eye.
Background & Story
Jiji is Momo's childhood friend and first crush, reunited with her when his family's new home in a hot-spring town turns out to be haunted, the reason he sought out the Ayase family's help. Moving into the Kito family's old house puts him in the path of the Evil Eye, the spirit of a sacrificed boy, who possesses him. From then on Jiji is both things at once: the group's beloved clown, and a sealed container for one of the most dangerous spirits they have ever met, with something as simple as a splash of water able to switch between them.
Powers & Abilities
- Host of the Evil Eye: Jiji's body houses the Evil Eye; when the spirit takes over, he gains superhuman strength and cursed power, at the cost of control.

- Evil Eye: The spirit possessing him, enemy, burden and, in Jiji's stubborn kindness, something like a friend to be saved.
- Ken Takakura: His rival for Momo and his friend, the two bond even while competing, especially over their shared supernatural misery.
