Eriel

About Eriel

Eriel is a new ally introduced in Season 2 of Sasaki and Peeps, voiced by Yu Sasahara. She enters the story as the worlds Sasaki travels between grow more connected, and more dangerous, than ever. Like many people around Sasaki, she quickly learns that the unremarkable middle-aged man at the centre of events is hiding unusual knowledge, unusual friends and a sage hiding in plain sight on his shoulder.

Appearance

Eriel enters in Season 2 on the angels' side of the hidden war, a being whose arrival, like Abaddon's, signals that the contest around Sasaki has outgrown psychics and magical girls. Specific design details were part of the new season's reveals.

Personality

Little of Eriel is revealed at introduction beyond intent: angels in Sasaki's world act through apostles and quarantine spaces, fighting demons by proxy. Eriel's choice of Himegami as apostle, and the timing of the move, mark the angel as a strategist entering a game already crowded with them.

Background & Story

Eriel is introduced in Season 2 of Sasaki and Peeps as an ally whose apostle, Himegami, joins the widening cast around Sasaki. The angel's arrival mirrors the demon Abaddon's: both powers are recruiting humans as their war surfaces in modern Japan. Like many people around Sasaki, Eriel's side quickly learns that the unremarkable middle-aged man at the centre of events is hiding unusual knowledge, unusual friends and a sage in plain sight on his shoulder.

Key Relationships

• Himegami: Eriel's apostle, the boy who represents the angel among humans.
• Sasaki: The man whose double life Eriel's side must now reckon with.
