About Abaddon
Abaddon is a demon who arrives in Sasaki's life in Season 2 of Sasaki and Peeps, adding another dangerous power to the crowd already gathering around one tired office worker. Voiced by Mutsumi Tamura, Abaddon is one of the new season's biggest wild cards.
Appearance
Abaddon arrives in Season 2 as one of the new season's biggest wild cards, a demon whose presence alone signals that the contest around Sasaki has moved beyond psychics and magical girls into the older war between angels and demons. Specific design details were kept as part of the new season's reveals.
Personality
Demons in Sasaki's world are beings of enormous magical strength, and Abaddon behaves like a power that chooses its moments: rather than attacking, he recruits, making Otonari-san his apostle and requesting Sasaki's cooperation. A demon who negotiates is not necessarily a demon who can be trusted, a distinction everyone around Sasaki understands.
Background & Story
Abaddon enters the story in Season 2, as Sasaki's double life grows harder to hide and the proxy war between angels and demons surfaces in modern Japan. Abaddon contracts with Sasaki's neighbour, Otonari-san, as his apostle, and seeks Sasaki's help, drawing the bureau, Futari Shizuka and Peeps into watching the demon's next move. What Abaddon ultimately wants from the quiet salaryman at the centre of events is the new season's open question.
