Musashi Gouda is the captain of the Body Improvement Club, a mountain of muscle with the heart of a saint. When the Telepathy Club loses its room, his club takes in Mob without hesitation, training the scrawny esper like one of their own. Gouda's simple philosophy, muscles earned honestly, friends defended absolutely, makes him one of Mob's most important role models and the club its warm heart.
Appearance
Gouda is enormous, a middle-schooler built like a professional wrestler, with a shaved head, thick neck and a perpetual earnest grin. He wears the Body Improvement Club's tracksuit like a uniform of honour, and his sheer size makes every doorway and group scene a small visual gag. His face, though, is pure sincerity: no irony, no menace, a captain who looks like a boss fight and behaves like a camp counsellor.
Personality
Gouda is warm, direct and utterly without pretension. He judges people only by effort, defends the weak as a reflex, and treats Mob's frailty as a starting point rather than a flaw. In a series full of frauds, manipulators and self-deceivers, Gouda's simplicity is a kind of strength: he says what he means, means what he says, and would run through a wall for a clubmate.
Background & Story
Gouda founded his school life around one belief: a body built by honest effort is something no one can take from you. When the Telepathy Club loses its room and the Body Improvement Club inherits it, Gouda welcomes the scrawny new applicant Mob without a flicker of condescension, folds him into training, and later puts the whole club's bodies between Mob and danger without being asked. His club becomes Mob's second family at school.
