Charmy is a tiny, endlessly hungry Black Bulls mage who thinks about food during every mission and fights with soft-looking cotton magic that hides surprising power. Her sheep cooks serve meals that restore her friends' mana, making her the squad's secret lifeline in long battles. Sweet and simple on the surface, she becomes genuinely frightening when someone threatens her food or friends.

Appearance

Charmy is a very short young woman, 142 cm, with black hair in a bun, round cheeks and an expression of permanent food-focused bliss. She wears her Black Bulls robe over a simple dress, and is almost always accompanied by her cotton sheep, which serve her meals, carry her around and form her spells. In battle the sheep multiply into a flock, and her Cotton Magic builds everything from beds to battering rams. When her true power stirs, a wolfish presence joins the sheep, cook and predator in one small package.

Personality

Charmy's whole personality fits in one word: hungry. She judges new people by whether they feed her, measures treasure in meals, and runs the Black Bulls' kitchen like a tiny, round-cheeked general. It would be a mistake, though, to file her under comic relief and move on. Feeding people is how Charmy loves them, and her loyalty is as serious as her appetite. Cross her friends, or worse, interrupt a meal, and the fluffy sheep show their other side. There's dwarf blood in her, and a second magic with actual teeth, a great wolf that eats spells. The squad's enemies keep learning this too late. The squad learned it at the dinner table, which is where Charmy prefers to teach things.

Background & Story

Charmy joined the Black Bulls as its cook-mage, a commoner girl whose Cotton Magic produced an endless staff of sheep chefs and whose past she never discussed, she seems barely aware of it herself. What the series reveals slowly: Charmy is part dwarf, heir to a race thought vanished, and her second magic, Food Magic, embodied by a great wolf, can devour other spells and convert them into her own power. The reveal changed nothing about her role in the family: she still cooks, still naps in sunbeams mid-mission, and still produces feasts in dungeons. She is the Black Bulls' stomach and, increasingly, one of its secret weapons.
