Souei

About Souei

Souei is the quiet kijin who leads Tempest's shadow corps, gathering intelligence and handling the missions Rimuru cannot be seen doing. Calm, precise and nearly invisible when he works, he commands clone bodies and threads of steel. Where Benimaru is Tempest's shining sword, Souei is its silent knife in the dark.

Appearance

Souei is a lean, handsome kijin with dark blue hair, cool blue eyes and two white horns. He wears dark, close-fitting clothing suited to stealth work, often with a scarf or high collar, and moves with a silence that makes people jump when he appears beside them with a report. Where Benimaru looks like a prince, Souei looks like the shadow a prince casts.

Personality

Souei is calm, precise and almost impossible to rattle. He speaks little, misses nothing and treats even impossible orders as simple scheduling problems. His loyalty to Rimuru is expressed as pure competence: if Tempest needs information, an infiltrator removed or a message delivered unseen, Souei has usually already done it. He is not cold so much as economical, every word and movement serves the mission.

Background & Story

Souei was among the six ogre survivors who escaped their village's destruction and came under Rimuru's protection. Named and evolved into a kijin, his talents for stealth and information-gathering made him the natural head of Tempest's intelligence network, the shadow corps that watches the nation's borders and its enemies' courts. While Benimaru commands Tempest's armies in the open, Souei runs the invisible war of spies, clones and silent blades that keeps those armies informed.

Powers & Abilities

• Body Double clones: Souei can create clone bodies and operate them at a distance, letting him scout, fight and deliver messages in several places at once.
• Steel Thread arts: He fights with razor-sharp threads and blades, binding and cutting enemies before they notice him.
• Shadow movement: His stealth skills let him travel through shadows and remain undetected by all but the sharpest senses.

Key Relationships

• Rimuru Tempest: The lord he serves as spymaster; Rimuru trusts Souei with Tempest's darkest and most delicate work.
• Benimaru: His fellow kijin and Tempest's open commander, sword and shadow to the same nation.
• Shion: A fellow ogre survivor; the loudest and quietest of Rimuru's people make an odd, effective pair.
