Senku Ishigami

About Senku Ishigami

Senku Ishigami is a teenage science genius who counted every second of his 3,700 years in stone, all 116 billion of them, and woke up with a plan to restore all of humanity. Sardonic, theatrical and ten billion percent confident, he treats every problem as an experiment and every person as a resource worth saving, friend or enemy. Senku's real genius is generosity: he gives knowledge away, because civilisation is something humanity builds together.

Appearance

Senku is a lean 171 cm with pale skin and his most famous feature: tall, gravity-defying hair that is white at the roots and fades to green at the tips, standing up like a leek. His red eyes carry a sharp, amused glint, and two jagged petrification scars run from his forehead down between his eyes. In the stone world he wears rough, handmade clothes, a tunic marked with E=mc², and usually has tools, bottles or some half-built device in hand. His expressions swing between a mad scientist's grin and genuine, unguarded wonder at a discovery.

Personality

Senku is brilliant, blunt and completely uninterested in ruling anyone. He treats science as humanity's shared inheritance, knowledge is not his to hoard, and he gives it away to anyone willing to learn, friend or former enemy. His confidence sounds like arrogance but rests on method: if something can be understood, it can be built, tested and fixed. He hides a deep sentimental streak, he never writes off a single petrified person, behind sarcasm and showmanship. Senku's real genius is generosity allied to logic: he is the rare shonen hero whose superpower is teaching everyone around him to be a hero too.

Background & Story

Senku was a science-obsessed boy whose adoptive father Byakuya, an astronaut, sold his own car to fund the boy's experiments. When a mysterious light petrified all humanity, Senku kept his mind awake by counting the seconds, 3,700 years of them, until he broke free in a world where civilisation had crumbled. Rather than despair, he set a goal: revive every single person and rebuild science from zero. With Taiju's labour and Yuzuriha's craft he recreated revival fluid, founded the Kingdom of Science at Ishigami Village, and began the long roadmap, glass, medicine, electricity, telephones, each invention a step back towards the world that was lost, and forward to the moon itself.

Powers & Abilities

• Scientific Knowledge: Senku carries the working knowledge of modern science in his head, chemistry, physics, medicine, engineering, and can rebuild technology step by step from raw stone-world materials.
• Revival Fluid: He reverse-engineered the formula that dissolves petrification, the single discovery on which the whole Kingdom of Science is built.
• Invention Roadmap: From glass lenses and antibiotics to electricity, telephones and ships, Senku plans civilisation's comeback as a sequence of crafts, each unlocking the next.
• Mental Endurance: He stayed conscious and counting inside the stone for over 3,700 years, a feat of focus no other revived person has matched.

Key Relationships

• Taiju Oki: His best friend since childhood, the stamina and heart to Senku's brain, and the first person he revived.
• Yuzuriha Ogawa: His friend and the Kingdom's finest craftsworker, trusted with its most delicate jobs, including piecing broken statues back together.
• Chrome: The village sorcerer who became his fellow scientist and successor, proof that science belongs to the stone world too.
• Tsukasa Shishio: His first great enemy in the stone world, a clash between reviving everyone and reviving only the 'pure'.
• Gen Asagiri: His negotiator and silver tongue, Gen handles the people problems Senku's logic cannot.
