Romantica Eru is a proud young wind mage from a noble family and the first party member Desir recruits at Hebrion Academy. In the future Desir remembers, she died in the war against the Shadow Worlds, which makes protecting her the most personal part of his mission, and her death the nightmare that opens Season 2. Talented, competitive and sharp-tongued, she is also the party's long-range firepower and Desir's closest partner.
Appearance
Romantica is a pretty teenage girl with long blonde hair, usually worn in loose waves or twin tails, and sharp eyes that dare people to underestimate her. She carries herself like nobility even in the plain Beta class uniform, chin up, posture perfect. On the battlefield the picture changes: she fights from long range, calm and precise, more like a sniper settling behind a scope than a student casting in a panic. The pride is real. So is the aim.
Personality
Romantica is proud, competitive and quick with a sharp remark, especially when someone brings up her family's bought title. Which happens a lot. She works harder than her attitude suggests, because she knows exactly how much of her standing rests on results. Desir's attention confuses her at first. Nobody with options picks the Beta class girl. But she is loyal once she commits, brave under fire, and honest in a fight even when she is prickly outside one. Her softer side leaks out mostly around her party, and she would deny all of it.
Background & Story
Romantica was born into a commoner family that grew rich and bought a noble title, which puts her in the worst seat at Hebrion Academy: too noble for the commoners, too common for the nobles. Despite a strong gift for wind magic she is placed in the Beta class, the academy's dumping ground. Desir Herrman, a fellow Beta student who seems to know things he should not, recruits her into his new party almost immediately and starts training her like she is worth real investment. In the future Desir remembers, Romantica died fighting the Shadow Worlds. He has no intention of letting that happen twice, and she can feel the weight of his belief in her long before she understands it.
