Mujika

About Mujika

Mujika is a young demon girl who travels the wilds with Sonju and rescues Emma's group when all seems lost. Her faith forbids her to eat humans, her 'evil blood' lets her live without it, and she becomes the children's guide to demon society, teaching them how to survive in a world that sees them as food.

Appearance

Mujika is a small demon girl with pale features, long light hair and a calm, gentle face, dressed in a traveller's cloak. Unlike the monstrous demons the children fear, her appearance is close to human, which is part of why the children can learn to trust her.

Personality

Mujika is kind, devout and quietly brave. She follows a faith that forbids eating humans and extends that compassion to the escaped children, teaching them patiently even though helping them puts her at odds with her own kind.

Background & Story

Mujika travels the wilds outside the farms with Sonju, living by their shared faith. When the escaped Grace Field children are fleeing through the forest, Mujika and Sonju shelter them, feed them and teach them the basics of survival, which plants can be eaten, how demons live and what the world beyond the wall is really like. For children raised to see every demon as a monster, Mujika is living proof that the demon world has its own beliefs, divisions and kindness.

Key Relationships

• Sonju: Her travelling companion and protector, who shares her faith and her road.
• Emma: The human girl Mujika befriends and teaches, against everything demon society expects.
