Sasha Blouse
From Attack on Titan
Sasha Blouse is a supporting character in Attack on Titan, a cadet from a hunting village whose marksmanship and instincts are matched only by her legendary appetite, earning her the nickname Potato Girl. She is voiced by Yu Kobayashi in Japanese and Ashly Burch in English.
About Sasha Blouse
Sasha Blouse is a cadet from a hunting village, famous for her bottomless appetite and her habit of stealing food, which earns her the nickname Potato Girl. Easygoing and kind, she is also a gifted marksman with sharp instincts from years of hunting in the forest. Sasha brings warmth and humour to the 104th cadet squad, and her loyalty to her friends is never in doubt.
Appearance
Sasha has light brown hair tied in a ponytail, warm brown eyes and an open, expressive face that is usually either hungry or delighted. She is of average build at 168 cm and moves with the easy balance of someone raised climbing and hunting in forests. In uniform she is unremarkable except for how often food appears in her hands, bread, meat, potatoes, regardless of regulations. Her village accent slips out when she is nervous or excited, a habit she tries to hide in formal company.
Personality
Sasha is cheerful, kind-hearted and governed by her stomach, stealing food even under military discipline and sharing it just as readily. Under the comedy sits a skilled hunter: she reads the wild, hears danger early and stays calm in a crisis, particularly when children are at stake. She is sensitive about her rural roots, speaking in stiff formal language to hide her accent, and she joined the military partly fleeing an argument with her father about the village's future. Her warmth makes her the friend everyone in the 104th quietly relies on.
Background & Story
Sasha grew up in Dauper, a small hunting village inside Wall Rose, in a clan that lived off the forest. When Wall Maria fell, refugees flooded the region and game grew scarce; her father's decision to give up hunting for farming and raising horses sparked a bitter argument, and Sasha left for the military, and its rations. At training she earned immortality on her first day by eating a stolen potato during a drill instructor's lecture, offering him 'half' as a bribe. She graduated ninth in the 104th and, despite dreaming of safety, chose the Survey Corps after the battle of Trost showed her what her skills were for.
