Khun Aguero Agnis
From Tower of God
Khun Aguero Agnis is a son of the great Khun Family in Tower of God who climbs as a light bearer, winning tests with schemes long before fights begin, and Bam's strategist and closest friend. He is voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto in Japanese and Chris Hackney in English.
About Khun Aguero Agnis
Khun is a son of the great Khun Family who climbs the Tower as a light-bearer, winning tests with schemes long before fights begin. Exiled from his family's succession war, he chooses Bam as the treasure worth protecting and becomes his strategist and closest friend. His loyalty is real; so is his habit of keeping three plans secret from everyone.
Appearance
Khun is a slim, elegant young man with pale blue hair worn long enough to tie back, blue eyes and a cool, amused expression that rarely changes. He dresses neatly in dark clothes with a bandana often worn around his neck, carries a briefcase-style lighthouse case and keeps a knife for close work. His beauty is a family trait of the Khun line, and he uses his composure the way other people use armour: nothing about his appearance ever suggests urgency, even mid-battle: especially mid-battle, when he is usually three moves into a plan nobody else has seen yet.
Personality
Khun is brilliant, manipulative and loyal in his own cold order: he lies to enemies as a reflex, keeps plans from friends as a policy, and would burn the Tower's rules to the ground for the people he has chosen. Raised in a family where affection was a tactic, he treats trust as the rarest currency in the Tower, which is why his devotion to Bam is so striking. He does not believe in fairness; he believes in winning, and in the small circle of people he has decided are worth winning for. His humour is dry, his temper is icy and his friendship, once given, is absolute.
Background & Story
Khun Aguero Agnis was born into the Khun Family, one of the Ten Great Families, where children of the household fight a brutal internal selection to be recognised as true members. Khun won his place, then lost his standing in the fallout of his sister's failed bid to become a Princess of Jahad, and entered the Tower with a strategist's education and a thief's souvenirs, including his father's treasured bag and lighthouses. On the second floor he recognises something in Bam, the Irregular boy who opened the Tower's door for a friend: a treasure worth more than anything in his father's vaults. Khun decides to carry that treasure to the top himself.
Powers & Abilities
- Lighthouses, Light Bearer: Khun commands floating lighthouse cubes that gather information, communicate, block and shape shinsu, letting him run a whole team's battle from above the field.
- Manbarondenna: His treasured bag, stolen from his father's vaults, can copy and reproduce items placed inside it, a thief's tool with endless tactical uses.
- Strategist's Mind: Khun's real weapon is planning: he reads tests, opponents and allies alike, and usually has the outcome arranged before the fight begins.
Key Relationships
- Twenty-Fifth Bam: His chosen treasure and closest friend. Khun protects Bam with schemes Bam never hears about, and considers it money well spent.
- Rak Wraithraiser: His teammate and favourite argument, the alligator's honesty and Khun's cunning are the team's twin engines, and the insults are a love language.
- Hatz: The honourable swordsman who despises his methods on sight, a rivalry that matures into one of the team's most reliable partnerships.
- Rachel: The girl Bam climbs for, whom Khun distrusts from the beginning with an instinct he cannot prove and never abandons.
