Hot Pants
Hot Pants is a mysterious racer in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run, a former nun riding for the Vatican to gather the holy corpse parts as atonement for her past. Her Stand, Cream Starter, sprays flesh like a substance she can reshape. She is voiced by Yoko Hikasa in Japanese.
About Hot Pants
Hot Pants is a racer wrapped in mystery, a rider in pink whose skill, strength and strange powers hide a past as a former nun and a mission of atonement. Racing to reach the holy corpse for reasons of guilt rather than greed, Hot Pants crosses paths with Johnny and Gyro as an enemy, an ally and something harder to name.
Appearance
Hot Pants rides in pink, a pink cap, jacket and riding gear that stand out in the dusty field, and is first taken for a young man by most of the other racers. She is strong, broad-shouldered and direct in her movements, with a serious face that gives nothing away. Her can of Cream Starter is never far from her hand.
Personality
Hot Pants is blunt, pragmatic and carrying heavy guilt. She does not race for money or glory; she races because she believes the corpse parts are her road to forgiveness for a childhood tragedy she blames herself for. That single-mindedness makes her a hard enemy and a harder ally, she will cooperate, but the corpse comes first, and she says so.
Background & Story
Hot Pants's past lies in a convent and a family tragedy: as a girl, her younger brother died in a bear attack she survived by hiding, and guilt drove her first to a nunnery and then into the service of the Vatican. When word came that a saint's corpse lay scattered across America, the Church sent her to ride the Steel Ball Run and recover the parts. On the trail she crosses Johnny and Gyro again and again, as a rival for the same relics, and sometimes as the only help within a hundred miles.
Powers & Abilities
- Cream Starter: Hot Pants's Stand takes the form of a spray can that turns flesh into a cream-like substance she can apply to reshape faces, seal wounds or smother an enemy.
