Hikaru Kamiki

About Hikaru Kamiki

Hikaru Kamiki is a former child actor from Ai Hoshino's generation who now runs his own talent agency. Charming and impossible to read, he drifts at the edge of the story for years, connected to Ai's past in ways few people understand. The closer Aqua gets to the truth about his mother's death, the more important this smiling man becomes.

Appearance

Hikaru Kamiki is a slim, good-looking man with light hair and a gentle, unreadable smile. He looks like the kind of person rooms relax around, soft-spoken, well-dressed and considerate. Almost nothing in his manner suggests weight or history, which is itself notable: people who meet him remember his charm and realise later they learned nothing about him at all.

Personality

Kamiki is charming, soft-spoken and impossible to read. He presents as a successful, pleasant industry figure and keeps his real self entirely hidden behind that ease. Whatever he thinks or feels about Ai and the past, he does not show it, and that blankness, in a series full of performers, makes him the most unsettling presence of all.

Background & Story

Kamiki was a child actor of Ai Hoshino's generation and now runs a talent agency of his own. For most of the story he exists at its edges, a name in Ai's past, a successful man whose path crossed hers long ago in ways very few people understand. As Aqua's search for the truth about his mother deepens, Kamiki's name keeps surfacing, and the smiling agency president becomes one of the most important missing pieces in the puzzle of Ai's life.

Key Relationships

• Ai Hoshino: A fellow performer of his generation; his connection to her past is one of the story's central questions.
• Aqua Hoshino: Ai's son, whose investigation into his mother's death keeps leading back to Kamiki.
• Taiki Himekawa: A leading stage actor whose own family history intersects with Kamiki's world.
