Ghislaine Dedoldia

About Ghislaine Dedoldia

Ghislaine is a beastfolk Sword King who serves the Boreas family, guarding Eris and teaching both her and Rudeus the sword. Muscular, taciturn and hopeless at reading or maths, she is nonetheless one of the most reliable people in the series. The Teleport Incident scatters her too, and her search for Eris never really stops.

Appearance

Ghislaine is a tall, powerfully muscular beastfolk woman with brown skin, wolf-like ears, a tail and an eyepatch over one eye, dressed in revealing, practical fighter's gear with a large sword. She looks like a bandit chief from a wanted poster, an impression her taciturn manner does nothing to correct. The eyepatch, the scars and the build all tell the true story: this is one of the strongest swordswomen on the continent, standing quietly in a noble house's hallway.

Personality

Ghislaine is taciturn, loyal and hopeless at academics, reading and arithmetic defeat her completely, which she bears with dignity. As a former problem student of the Sword God himself and a veteran of Paul's S-rank party, she has nothing to prove to anyone, and her devotion to the Boreas family, and to Eris in particular, is the steady kind that survives disasters. The Teleport Incident scatters her too, and her search for Eris never really stops.

Background & Story

Ghislaine Dedoldia is a beastfolk swordswoman of the Dedoldia tribe who trained under the Sword God and earned the title of Sword King, adventuring with Paul Greyrat's party Fangs of the Black Wolf before entering the Boreas family's service as Eris's bodyguard and sword instructor. In Roa she also studies reading, magic and manners alongside her students, badly, and without complaint. When the Teleport Incident throws her to another continent, Ghislaine begins the long road back, searching for the girl she was sworn to protect.
