Siesta was a legendary detective who fought the secret organisation SPES around the world with her assistant Kimihiko at her side. Calm, brilliant and always one step ahead, she took on cases no one else could solve. She died a year before the main story begins, yet her heart, her memories and her careful plans keep shaping events, and Season 2 reveals more about the mistake even she once made.

Appearance

Siesta is a beautiful girl with long silver-white hair and light blue eyes, usually dressed in a neat detective's outfit with a short cape-like jacket. She carries herself with total composure, smiling faintly even in firefights. Her signature weapon is an old-fashioned musket, as theatrical and precise as everything else about her.

Personality

Siesta is calm, playful and always several moves ahead. She teases Kimihiko constantly, speaks in riddles when it amuses her, and treats impossible cases as pleasant puzzles. Her code is absolute: a detective protects the client's interests, whatever it costs. That devotion hides a girl who planned for her own death with the same care she gave her cases, every secret she left behind was placed there on purpose.

Background & Story

Almost everything about Siesta is a mystery by design: 'Siesta' is a codename, and her real name, age and nationality were never revealed. She was one of the Tuners, the exceptional people who keep the world's balance, working as a great detective against the secret organisation SPES and its artificial humans. At fourteen-year-old Kimihiko's hijacked flight, she recruited the trouble-prone boy as her assistant, promising to protect him. Three years of cases followed, and then, a year before the story opens, Siesta died, leaving behind a transplanted heart, a web of preparations, and an assistant who thought the story was over.
