About Chinatsu Kano
Chinatsu Kano is the ace of Eimei's girls' basketball team and a year above Taiki, admired across the school for her skill and composure. When her parents move abroad for work, she comes to live with the Inomata family, and her careful, private world gains one very earnest housemate. Quiet and self-reliant, Chinatsu keeps her feelings, and her past, guarded, even as both begin to matter more.
Appearance
Chinatsu is 162 cm tall, with shoulder-length light brown hair and a calm, composed bearing that matches her reputation. She has a slender but athletic build, a basketball player's frame, and is usually seen in Eimei's uniform, her basketball kit, or practice clothes at dawn in the gym, where she is always among the first to arrive.
Personality
Chinatsu is quiet, self-reliant and disciplined, with the same dawn work ethic as Taiki, practised for longer. She keeps her feelings, and her past, guarded, deflecting attention with composure that can look like distance. Underneath is warmth she shows in small, deliberate ways, and a competitor's pride: she wants to reach nationals on her own merit, and to be seen clearly by the people she lets close.
Background & Story
Chinatsu is a second-year at Eimei and the star of its girls' basketball team, a player whose early-morning practices in the school gym first drew Taiki Inomata's admiration. When her parents moved abroad for work, she moved in with the Inomata family, her mother is friends with Taiki's mother, turning the boy who watched her from afar into her housemate. Living together, and training toward the same dream of nationals in their different sports, slowly opens the private world she keeps so carefully. Season 2 brings back Yumeka Kido, her former teammate, and with her the past Chinatsu never talks about.
