Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Is Now on Netflix: All 10 Episodes Are Out

Night City is open again. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 premiered on Netflix on 20 October 2026, and fans do not have to wait week by week. All ten episodes were released on the same day, ready to watch in one go.

The new series comes from CD PROJEKT RED together with the Japanese animation studio TRIGGER, the same team behind the first Edgerunners, which arrived in 2022 and became a huge hit. Four years later, the follow-up is here, but it is not a direct continuation of the first story. Edgerunners 2 is a standalone tale with an all-new cast, set in the same dangerous world of Cyberpunk 2077.

According to the official announcement, the story follows four very different people whose lives cross in Night City: a veteran edgerunner, a young film lover, a chrome-obsessed delinquent, and a netrunner from the Snake Nation. CD PROJEKT RED describes it as a raw and emotional story of vengeance and redemption, so expect the same mix of high-speed action and heartbreak that made the first series famous.

Behind the scenes, the series is directed by Kai Ikarashi, with character designs led by Kanno Ichigo. Bartosz Sztybor returns as showrunner, story writer and producer, and Masahiko Otsuka is also back on the team. That mix of returning names and new leads should feel familiar to fans while giving the new cast its own style.

There is something extra for game players, too. On the same day as the premiere, CD PROJEKT RED announced a free Cyberpunk 2077 update inspired by the anime, called the Edgerunners 2 Update (Update 2.5). It is set to arrive on 22 October 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version to follow shortly after.

If you have never visited Night City, this is an easy place to start. The new series stands on its own, so you can watch it before or after the first one. And if Edgerunners 2 leaves you wanting more, you can read about the series on its AnimeYug page.
