Months of after-practice training followed, serves into empty courts, failures in matches where his one chance per game went into the net. His story builds to the moments Karasuno gambles a rotation on him: against Aoba Johsai his serves finally bite, and the pinch server who practised alone becomes the player who can tilt a match his team is losing.
