About Loid Forger
Loid Forger is the public face of Westalis's master spy, codenamed Twilight. For Operation Strix he invented a perfect cover life, psychiatrist, husband, father, and built a family in under a week. Brilliant at disguises, planning and lying, he is slowly discovering the one mission he never trained for: being a real husband and dad.
Appearance
Loid is a tall man, 187 cm, with blond hair and sharp, observant eyes, usually dressed in a neat green suit as the psychiatrist Loid Forger. His appearance is itself a tool: he can become almost anyone with a mask, a wig and minutes to spare, and his ordinary good looks are the most effective disguise he owns.
Personality
Loid is brilliant, meticulous and controlled, a planner who prepares for every outcome and lies as easily as breathing, all in service of a world where children do not have to cry. He insists his family is only a mission asset, and keeps acting like a devoted husband and father anyway, then filing the contradiction away. His weakness is the one variable he cannot plan for: he has started to care.
Background & Story
Loid grew up as a war orphan in Westalis and became a spy so that no other child would live through what he did. As Twilight, Westalis's greatest agent, he has discarded his real name and lived a hundred lives. For Operation Strix, get close to Ostania's Donovan Desmond through his son's school, he built the Forger family in days: adopted a daughter, found a wife, forged a history. The mission's flaw is that the family is real to everyone except, officially, him. Every report he writes says the Forgers are a means to peace; every evening at home argues otherwise.
Powers & Abilities
- Master spy skills: Twilight is a genius of disguise, infiltration, combat and improvisation, able to memorise hundreds of faces, forge any document and become another person in minutes.
- Analytical planning: Loid reads people and situations instantly and builds layered contingency plans, a skill that fails him only at home, where his family refuses to follow any plan.
Key Relationships

- Yor Forger: His wife, a marriage of convenience for both their covers that neither of them is faking as well as they think.
- Sylvia Sherwood: His handler at WISE, who gives him his missions and pretends, like him, that the Forgers are only a cover.
- Franky Franklin: His oldest friend and informant, forger, babysitter and the one person who always shows up.
