About Bond Forger
Bond is the Forgers' big white dog, a former military experiment who can see a short way into the future. Gentle, jealous and desperate to be useful, he uses his visions to quietly protect Anya, the only person who knows his secret. His failed attempts at heroism are some of the family's funniest and sweetest moments.
Appearance
Bond is a large, fluffy white Great Pyrenees with a gentle, soulful face, usually wearing a black bow tie that makes him look like a very serious gentleman. His size suggests a guard dog; his expression, most of the time, suggests a dog who would like a walk and some forgiveness.
Personality
Bond is gentle, anxious and deeply loyal, with a jealous streak toward anything that takes Anya's attention. Having seen the future, he often knows trouble is coming and acts on it with more heart than competence, his attempted heroics misfire constantly. What never misfires is his devotion: Bond has had a laboratory instead of a childhood and guards his family like the first real thing he has ever owned.
Background & Story
Bond was a test subject, '008', in Ostania's Project Apple, military experiments that left him able to glimpse the near future. Rescued from the black market after the project collapsed, he was adopted by the Forgers and named by Anya after her favourite cartoon spy, Bondman. Only Anya, reading his mind, knows about his visions, and the two form a secret partnership: Bond sees danger coming, Anya understands the warning, and together they protect a family that has no idea it is being protected by its smallest members.
Powers & Abilities
- Precognition: Bond can see a short way into the future, glimpses of events minutes ahead, which he acts on to try to protect his family, with Anya interpreting his thoughts.
Key Relationships
- Anya Forger: His favourite person and secret partner, the only one who can read his mind and understand his visions.
- Loid Forger: His owner, whose spy standards Bond tries, and usually fails, to meet, and loves anyway.
- Yor Forger: His owner, whose strength Bond respects and whose cooking he wisely avoids.
