Keiji Togashi is a first-year defender with the look and temper of a delinquent and the reading of the game of a veteran. Recruited from a rough background, he distrusts Esperion's polish and plays every duel like a street fight he intends to win. His clashes with Ashito slowly turn into one of the academy's most reliable partnerships, two opposites covering each other's weaknesses.

Appearance

Togashi has a tough, streetwise look, sharp eyes, a scowl that comes naturally and a physical, confrontational way of occupying space, on the pitch and off it. As a defender he plays the way he looks: front-foot, aggressive in the duel, happiest when an attacker tries to take him on directly. The surprise, visible the longer you watch him, is how clean his reading is, the tackles that look like brawls are usually timed like a veteran's.

Personality

Togashi is blunt, proud and slow to trust, especially an academy full of polished, well-coached boys whose lives look nothing like his. He was the only one of Ashito's age group scouted personally by Fukuda from outside the usual system, and he carries an outsider's chip on his shoulder into every session. But Togashi's aggression is not recklessness: he reads the game superbly, hates losing more than he hates anything, and his loyalty, once earned, is fierce. His clashes with Ashito, two boys from the margins, opposite in almost everything, slowly forge a partnership neither expected.

Background & Story

Togashi came to Esperion from a rough background, scouted by Fukuda for his raw defensive quality rather than any academy pedigree. In the first-year group he kept his distance, clashing with teammates and doubting the whole project's polish. Through the B team season, shared battles changed him: his duel-winning and game-reading made him indispensable, and his friction with Ashito matured into one of the first-years' most reliable defensive partnerships, the street fighter and the rebuilt playmaker covering each other's weaknesses. In Season 2's A team environment, Togashi's edge becomes a standard the whole squad has to match.
