Chika Fujiwara is the student council secretary, a cheerful agent of chaos whose games, ideas and distractions derail every serious plan. The daughter of a political family and a gifted pianist, she hides a sharp mind behind pure silliness. Chika is the love war's greatest wild card, and, without ever realising it, Kaguya's closest and most precious friend.

Appearance

Chika is a bright, bouncy teenager with long silver-pink hair worn with a black ribbon bow, and blue eyes. She wears the Shuchiin uniform with none of Kaguya's stiffness, usually mid-gesture, mid-game or mid-snack, with board games, cards or sweets close at hand.

Personality

Chika is joyful, mischievous and gloriously distractible, she proposes games during crises, cheats cheerfully and forgets schemes she started. She is also a genuine prodigy at piano and languages, kind to everyone, and the emotional glue of the council. Kaguya's war plans account for armies of variables; none of them reliably account for Chika.

Background & Story

Chika is the middle daughter of the Fujiwara family, a line of politicians; her grandfather was a prime minister. Raised more freely than Kaguya, she was a piano prodigy who quit competing and chose fun. As council secretary she turns the council room into a games club, teaches Miyuki, in secret, brutal training arcs, the skills he lacks, from volleyball to singing, and becomes Kaguya's first real friend without either of them quite noticing it happen. In a series about calculated love, Chika is pure improvisation.
