Black Clover Season 2 Is Here: Asta Returns After Five Years
The wait is finally over. Black Clover Season 2 premiered on Saturday, 3 October 2026, bringing Asta and the Black Bulls back to television more than five years after the original series ended with episode 170 in March 2021. New episodes now follow weekly on Crunchyroll, streaming as they air in Japan.
The new season is once again produced by Studio Pierrot, the studio behind the original run, and it continues Yuki Tabata's manga story from where the first series stopped. The music keeps the series' loud, cheerful energy: the opening theme is performed by WANIMA, and the ending theme is by ONE OR EIGHT.
One important detail is still missing. Neither Pierrot nor Crunchyroll has announced how many episodes Season 2 will have, so any episode count you see elsewhere is a guess for now. We will update this story as soon as an official number is confirmed.
If you are new to the series, start with the original Black Clover anime, all 170 episodes, before jumping into the new season, which continues the story directly. Returning fans can find the story so far, the watch order and streaming details on our Black Clover Season 2 page.
